If you want to offer well-being programming within your organization, you're facing a Wild West: anyone can declare themselves an "expert," and it's the best marketers - not the most skillful providers - who rise to the top.I founded Flourish to change that. We are a small, relentlessly curated team of true experts spanning the different dimensions of well-being, from physical, to mental and emotional, to social and even financial well-being.We’ll take as much off your plate as possible, tailor our approach to your needs, and ensure you never have to worry about quality.--Before Flourish, I spent seven years running my own mindfulness and well-being programs for legal professionals (which I still do!). I've taught at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the Pentagon, 80+ law firms, Fortune 100 companies, public defenders' offices, state courts, and many other organizations.--MY BACKGROUNDOn the law side: I graduated from Harvard Law School, clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, then worked as a litigator at firms in Los Angeles and New York.On the mindfulness side: I've practiced mindfulness since 2006 and studied with teachers from around the world, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and traditional Buddhist masters. In 2014, I completed a seven-month silent meditation retreat.--WHAT FOLKS ARE SAYING "Jon's workshop was completely engaging, on point, and quite entertaining. FounderMindfulness For Lawyers 2015 - Feb 2023Brooklyn, New York, UsMindfulness for Lawyers helps lawyers and legal staff reduce stress, cultivate well-being, and improve performance through mindfulness and other well-being modalities. I've led programs at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the Pentagon, the world's top law firms, and many other organizations. I designed our CLE-qualified programming by drawing on my own experiences as a practicing lawyer and my 15 years of mindfulness practice, including a seven-month silent meditation retreat and extensive study with teachers from around the world, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and meditation masters.Although my teachers include traditional Buddhist masters, I teach in a secular style without esoteric overtones. Mindfulness for Lawyers offers a grounded, results-oriented program legal professionals can relate to and enjoy. At the start of 2023, I grew my team and expanded Mindfulness for Lawyers into Flourish Legal Well-Being. -

Most of my work at Vladeck involved litigating under federal, state, and city human rights laws on behalf of employees who suffered discrimination, harassment, or other unfair treatment at work. I and my co-counsel, a Vladeck partner, obtained a favorable, high-seven-figure settlement. My research, writing, oral advocacy, strategy, and negotiation contributions also produced favorable outcomes and rulings in race discrimination, race-matching, gender discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, and retaliation cases.I left Vladeck in November 2016 to run Mindfulness for Lawyers full-time. -
