I knew nothing about multi-currency finance when I installed a multi-currency database and established VAT reporting in Europe. Even without prior knowledge, I beat a critical deadline – 5 months before the Belgium Francs converted to Euros.With a double major in accounting and finance, coupled with nearly an entire career working on ERP and BI systems, I possess expertise and experience in all 3 critical areas. I understand how one small change, new procedure, or transaction in one department impacts another department or even the entire company. I am not rigid. Rules are necessary, but certain rules can be flexed for the good of the business. This insightful flexibility allows me to adjust in dynamic business environments. Through the course of numerous changes in ownership, I adapted to new ways of working, developed new processes to address the requests of new management, and drove continuous process improvements for the benefit of the business.
