Outside GC is a team of former senior in-house lawyers who act as "on-demand" in-house counsel for our clients. Many of our clients are earlier stage or smaller companies with no in-house lawyer that have lots of legal work but aren't ready to hire their own captive attorney. We also work with many larger companies as "overflow" counsel to supplement the work of the in-house team. In general, we don't replace our clients' main outside law firms; instead, we handle the day-to-day work (customer, partner and vendor agreements, employee issues, contracts, leases, etc.) at about 1/3 of what the big law firms charge for lawyers with equivalent years of experience.
