I'm not your typical Bioengineer; I'm a curious soul with a relentless passion for bio-design and precision medicine. Currently navigating the intriguing world of Bioengineering with a minor in Life Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, I'm also embarking on an exhilarating research journey as a Senior Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore.Beyond the textbooks and lab coats, I'm the force behind innovative projects like a joint-targeting soft exoskeleton and an electricity-free blood storage system. These aren't just academic projects; they're my way of bringing positive change to the world. As the President of the Biomedical Engineering Society, I've learned the art of leadership, but more importantly, I've learned the value of collaboration and shared aspirations. Not content with just academic pursuits, I founded Project Synergy, a project close to my heart aimed at tackling elderly suicide rates. I've discovered that making a difference is about taking action and forging partnerships with organizations that share your vision. But my journey doesn't stop there; I've taken my passion for positive change to the global stage as a Humanitarian Affairs Peace Ambassador for the United Nations. Representing Singapore at the 3rd Global Peace Summit is my way of showing that the power of determination and diplomacy can indeed change the world.Behind the lab goggles and research papers, I'm a believer in the potential of science to transform lives. My technical skills encompass a diverse range of lab techniques, from microscopy to 3D printing to CAD drawings. I'm here to make a meaningful impact through innovation and collaboration.

I handle data entry, compilation, literature reviews, and case studies while supervising junior Research Assistants to ensure consistency.I've managed a data team of over seven members, implementing efficient Excel-related processes. I collaborated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the National University of Singapore to enhance research techniques and streamline data collection through RemarkOMR.Additionally, I introduced SOPs that improved communication and efficiency among the data team, fieldwork team, and researchers from the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the National Council of Social Services. In specialized projects, I simplified a complex coding system, analyzed the impact of disciplinary measures on 86 youths, and evaluated the effectiveness of 200+ social programs for offenders. As a future engineer, I believe in interdisciplinary collaboration. My role at EPYC strengthens my ability to work across disciplines and contribute to meaningful change. I'm passionate about bridging engineering and social sciences and driving innovation beyond boundaries.#Engineering #Research #Interdisciplinary Show less -
