Responsible for the planning and operation of a 100 strong team tasked to deliver communications and information security support to a headquarters in charge of 4500+ people.The role required close working with the client in order to quickly and accurately understand their business functions and to then resource these appropriately using IT and communication assets. Throughout, sound information security risk management was exercised to balance business agility with appropriate security.In addition to the technical IT challenges this role also required sound operational management in order to efficiently move the 100 strong squadron across countries.

Head of a 30 person team responsible for providing first and second line support to an 500 strong organisation. This role involved the deployment and implementation of ITIL service management processes and the training of the team in the new ways of working.

Head of a 70 strong team responsible for delivering and maintaining all UK communications in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. The team was responsible for delivering and maintaining all aspects of the IT infrastructure; radio and fibre links, data centres, servers, applications and help desk functions. Prior to the deployment to Afghanistan this role consisted of a significant period of training and required focused leadership in order to deliver effective teams ready for a challenging environment.
