Jon Mann is most at home where the sidewalk ends, staring into the distance of the unknown and making it real. As a design leader, he crafts curious technologies like Mixed Reality, VR, IoT, and AI into experiences that steer us towards a better future, while avoiding the quicksand of tech for tech’s sake. Most recently, Jon was an executive creative director for Artefact, a Seattle-based design and innovation consultancy. There he spent his time leading and mentoring teams to help clients define, design and deliver great products and experiences to elevate their business. Prior to joining Artefact, he led in-house innovation teams and shipping product teams alike, finding equal purpose in identifying new opportunities and the disciplined drive to get products to market. Clients have included Samsung, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Tableau, Sonos, and NASCAR among many others over a 20-year career.Jon holds a master’s degree in product design from Stanford University, where he catalyzed his perspectives on design thinking, business strategy, and a healthy dose of Silicon Valley technology. Outside the studio, he’s an avid photographer, kayaker, backyard builder, and basement woodshop tinkerer, exploring these passions with his wife and two kids.
