Subcommittees to Concordia University's Standing Together against Racism and Identity-based Violence (STRIVE) Task Force will examine and address the university’s needs in relation to identity-based violence. As a member of subcommittees on Anti-Asian Racism, my tasks include: (a) examining existing campus policies and processes to establish Concordia as a safe and inclusive space for Asian community members to flourish, (b) researching trainings on anti-Asian racism, protocols, and best practices to address anti-Asian from other Canadian universities and institutions, (c) examining systems in place for complaints and evaluating the community’s access to university services, and (d) consulting with relevant Concordia and Montreal communities to recommend measures tailored to the needs and concerns of the Asian students, faculty and staff, including attending relevant stakeholder discussions organized by the Campus Engagement subcommittee.

Enabling a dynamic and welcoming space for the SHIFT community and the broader social transformation ecosystem. Making decisions to ensure that the space becomes a shared resource for the community, provides programming with opportunities to deepen engagement with SHIFT, and contributes to the collective learning about the potential of collaborative spaces.

Taking in-seat and lounge orders from the guests and familiarizing the menu to guide them with questions about food and drink choices. Handling guest complaints and providing resolution to maintain their satisfaction. Training new in-seat and lounge servers and runners on customer service requirements and proper food handling guidelines.

Developed an understanding of factors that shaped contemporary political and economic development in the Philippines, through political analysis and news monitoring leading up to the 2022 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections. Raised awareness amongst the public on Southeast Asia (specifically the Philippines) and its growing importance to Canada through the publication of Dispatches.

Produced and wrote relevant content, personally focusing on issues that affect visible minorities, especially Filipino community. Interviewed key people and performed research for primary and secondary sources. Worked thoroughly with the editors and senior editors for writing suggestions.

Evaluated best undergraduate political science papers at McGill University submitted to our journal team. Provided the authors with constructive feedback about the article’s thesis, use of evidence, structure, citation, and style.

Provided service to the guests through the concessions and accommodated them to the proper theatre rooms. Maintained the cleanliness of the movie theatres, did daily inventories, and took on opening and closing duties. August 2019: Cast Member of the Month.

Arranged bread and pastries to the respective racks according to dates of expiration and checked them into the inventory system. Ensured that the products were checked in on delivery and that the expired products were given to the proper department. Often assisted the customers to find the products they were looking for.
