In October 2017, I joined the Lisbon Council team as a Senior Research Associate. The Lisbon Council is a Brussels-based, non-profit think tank and policy network dedicated to making a positive contribution through cutting-edge research and the engagement of political leaders and the general public in a constructive exchange about the economic and social challenges of the 21st century. The main projects I was involved in include: - Evaluation leaders for the Gov 3.0 project focussing on ICT-enabled Governance. - Development of the study and pilot programme to support the uptake of Electronic Identification and Trust Services (eIDAS) by SMEs in Europe. - Management of the 2018-2020 social media communication strategy for the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, (We4AHA, Horizon 2020). - Design and management of the online digital engagement strategy for the 2017 SME Assembly in Bratislava in direct collaboration with the European Commission (EC).

Outsight is a consultancy company that assists policy-makers in the design, implementation and evaluation of their innovation, R&D and ICT strategies. I joined the Outsight team as a freelance Senior Policy Analyst where I successfully prepared and won a tender on the impact of EU-funded research and innovation projects on ICT for Active and Healthy Ageing. I am also co-author of two reports on policy guidelines that were published by the EC in March 2018.My main responsibilities include:- Design and management of International R&D and Innovation Projects.- Policy analysis to support evidence-based policies in the field of innovation, science and information society.- Building of high-profile international partnerships with stakeholders.- Stakeholder and expert engagement and workshop design and organisation.

For a period of over 5 years I was a member of Malaga City Council’s European Project Department. My key skills and leadership have excelled during this position where I was regarded as one of the most experienced members of the in-house team of consultants. I was able to successfully manage up to 5 EU projects simultaneously and to nurture relationships with other European organisations that resulted in additional funding. My main responsibilities included: - Played a key role in securing over 5 million Euros in EU funding for the City of Malaga. - Identification of funding opportunities and simultaneous coordination of up to 5 projects. - Strategic management of projects in social inclusion (RE-Block) and local economic development (HORIZONTE). - Project manager for CIVITAS 2MOVE2 (sustainable mobility) and ELIH MED (Energy Efficiency in Social Housing), awarded the EUROCITIES 2014 prize in the Citizen Participation category. - Management of multicultural project teams composed of internal staff and external contractors. - Contract management and negotiation on behalf of the City Council.
