The system is written in C# with the front-end written in JavaScript leveraging a Single Page Application Framework where ALL HTML is dynamically created.My role on the team was the initial design and creation of the platform and then later the Cryptography, As2, and EDI Services within that system. The As2 service would receive, evaluate, verify the signature, and decrypt the payload prior to sending it on to the EDI Service which would parse the document based upon an in-house built EDI Parser. These services required creation of specialty tools for sending As2 Messages with the ability to be Signed and Encrypted. Assist in the build process issues for various internal customers due to installs occurring at the end resulting in my team being the first line of defense and guidance regarding what ‘really happened’.Specific Project Details:Interaction Director 4.0:This software application hadn’t had not yet been converted over to the new install architecture, WIX vs. InstallShield. There was very little documentation or delta experience around regarding this application and its install. Upon the completion of the 3.0 version it was determined that due to other applications versions and a need to support Windows Server 2008 that this application had to be completely overhauled which included the install as well. I then successfully created and released the new installer with minimal reported field defects.Source Control and Build System Architecture Change:A major change in how the build system architecture worked required a major change to how installs were created. This required updates to a C# based WIX Extension, C++ libraries used for installs, and makefile scripts. I was responsible for making these changes which at one point included the usage of a C# based utility I wrote that modified over 350,000 WIX files with the necessary updates to take advantage of the new architecture. It was common for me to create various utilities using C# one of which was a GUI that leveraged the command line windows application FindStr such that it could perform more advanced queries without knowledge of the FindStr syntax.
