We have deployed large scale automation including IBM NIM for deploying our AIX servers, and Cobbler for deploying our Red Hat environment. We also are currently deploying Active Directory authentication for the Linux / AIX / Solaris environments. We have consolidated out of a 3rd party data center and are planning a move into a new Barclays data center. Integration continues with Barclay's Global. IBM systems Director is being deployed and we continue to automate. I continue to work with our NOC helping them receive the needed training and documentation. For development we continue to support new tools to facilitate their activities like Hudson / Jenkins – (code builds ), Tomcat – replacing Weblogic where applicable, svn, and scm.

Founding member of the Infrastructure and Architectural engineering team, I worked with business units and technical teams to understand their needs and design the technology elements of projects to fulfill their needs. Technical design included all operating systems, load balancers, storage, replication, and virtualization technologies. To exploit these technologies I frequently worked with them in our Lab environment and worked with operational teams on implementation and 3rd level support. One focus area was thin provisioned storage and virtualization. We tested and deployed XEN servers and VMware 3.5 and eventually Vsphere 4.0. KVM testing was underway when the team was disbanded.

My team and I were responsible for implementing a new pSeries farm of p570 servers in 4 datacenters including a datacenter move from our existing aging datacenters to a new facility. We also migrated most applications off our Fujitsu Solaris servers and leveraged IBM’s VIO technology, along with moving to a higher speed SAN solution. While in this role I negotiated several multimillion dollar deals with IBM, for the acquisition of new hardware, software, and support agreements. We also began large scale deployments of RHEL 5 systems replacing older SUN hardware. These moves saved significant space, heating, and cooling in our 3rd party datacenter – again reducing hosting costs significantly. We also deployed monitoring tools including Nagios and performance monitoring solutions like Cacti

Working with the RBC I have been responsible for coordinating projects at Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout southern NJ. My responsibilities include managing the project from its inception when requirements are formulated, through all the trade involvement, permitting, and inspection.

As the director of operations I was responsible for our daily operations of our IT infrastructure. This included all our servers, desktops, networking, and telecommunications platforms. As a small company I had a larger technical role than most managers, although I coordinated 3 junior staff members. Within the systems department of the Bank I have been responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a 2.5 Terabyte ( SSA )Data warehouse on an RS/6000 R50 HACMP Cluster using Oracle Parallel Server 7.3.3.5. As part of the Technical Services group I was directly responsible for the backend Settlement systems. The systems are 7x24 and are configured to be highly available. I managed and maintained a satellite office which processed 450,000-500,000 inbound 800 calls daily, utilizing interactive voice technology. Credit card information is entered and validated on-line. I manage the voice/ data networks, install new services, handle requests by both customers and sales, and oversee the production of daily reports. I also maintain our internal Ethernet network using Novel LAN Workplace for DOS to interface with the Sparc stations using TCP/IP and NFS.
