Being a Father, Jon is focused on maintaining a strong family bond with clear values by leading by example for his children. Having raised his girls into the beginnings of their teenage years, Jon is taking his knowledge into general contracting and construction. He is building his own construction management / general contracting firm.Jon has 17 years in Civil Engineering from Project and Construction Management to Design, Survey, Procurement and Permitting primarily in Ohio, but also Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee and Washington. During his time as a construction manager, Jon maintained an impeccable safety record with no Recordable Incidents and no Safety Violations. With safety at the forefront, Jon collaborated with his teams and crews to deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget.Jon’s engineering experience ranges from managing the civil design, surveying, and construction for 12 oil / gas infrastructure projects, including a 3 million cubic yard railroad project, to managing subdivision developments from the design phase through construction completion. In addition, he is experienced with negotiating contracts with construction companies, suppliers and inspection firms while ensuring projects have minimal change orders via a thorough engineering review prior to bidding. After 17 years in the construction and engineering field, with 7 years in the oil and gas sector, Jon took the opportunity to pursue other passions. He became a certified health coach and established a client base of 200+ clients over 5 years. In parallel, Jon is an entrepreneur within cryptocurrency and is a Board Member and lead instructor in a Cryptocurrency Educational Platform called AvalonDAO. (DAO is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization) For philanthropy, he enjoys volunteering at the local food pantry, advocates for ‘Celebrate Recovery’ and provide mentorship through LifeWay Church. The food pantry partners with the Akron Food Bank to serve nearly 100 families weekly. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recovery organization providing the opportunity to have a warm meal weekly and provide a safe place to share their struggles privately.
