Responsibilities:1. Conducting short- and long-term planning to meet network requirements.2. Strong working familiarity with Cisco and Brocade products including hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, call managers, wireless controllers, access points, servers, and firewalls.3. Designed curriculum and developed labs to ensure the course remained relevant, challenging, and continued to support Army goals for training. This education differs from all others in the Army by teaching students an engineering approach to solving complex network and communications problems.4. Utilized in-depth knowledge of cyber security solutions on management and technical levels to improve course curriculum enabling students to become well rounded network engineers with a foundation in security. This was accomplished through designing vulnerable machines and creating penetration testing lab environments utilized by students to bring practical examples to their academic training. 5. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network problems. Researching, analyzing and recommending software or hardware implementations to rectify any network deficiencies or to enhance network performance.6. Assessing network performance to ensure that it meets the present and future needs. Provides network planning recommendations to management.7. Evaluating services provided by vendors and recommending changes.8. Responsible for giving regular technical briefings and network updates to non-technical supervisors and contractors.

Responsible for the timely and accurate computation of technical and tactical data for a 540 person Field Artillery Battalion. Responsible for assisting the Operations Officer in managing the preparation, training, and tactical employment of the Battalion to include the six subordinate Fire Direction Centers. Lead proponent for the development and execution of the Battalion Safety and Risk Management program as well as the Battalion Howitzer certification program. In charge of managing and maintaining the Battalion training calendar and the development and conduct of weekly training meetings. While deployed, responsible for handling contracts in excess of $1 million.

Responsible for technical portions of audits, incident response, forensic analysis, HIPAA compliance, and managed cyber security services.
