Jonathon Mondino enters his seventh season with the BMO Toronto FC Academy, currently as the as U-16 team head coach. Prior to joining Toronto FC, Mondino was one of the youngest professional club technical directors in Ontario, when he guided youth players and programs under the semi-professional CSL (Canadian Soccer League) franchise SC Toronto. He was also the first assistant coach with the University of Toronto men's Varsity Blues soccer team. During his time with the Varsity Blues, he helped take the program to the Ontario Final Fours and the Canadian National Championships in Victoria, BC. As a player, Mondino played OUA (Ontario University Athletics) for the Trent Excalibur of Trent University. He captained the team during his junior and senior year, winning the Coaches Award in his senior year. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.Mondino holds both a Canada Soccer and USSF (United States Soccer Federation) national coaching license.
