Having been promoted to the rank of Sergeant, I headed up the Cybercrime Training and Prevention Section at South Australia Police, where I oversaw the development of innovative training in cybercrime investigations, open source intelligence (OSINT), covert online intelligence, and cryptocurrency investigations.Seeking new challenges and the opportunity to make a global impact, I traded in my badge and handcuffs for a wireless keyboard, stand-up desk, and other creature comforts, joining one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges. As a Senior Investigator and Trainer at Kraken, I honed my expertise in blockchain tracing and conducted investigations into a range of suspected criminal activities, including scams, darknet markets, ransomware, sanctions, and money laundering.As a Global Investigator at TRM Labs, I am privileged to work alongside the industry's top blockchain specialists and utilise TRM's cutting-edge tools to investigate complex cases involving phishing, DeFi exploits, terrorist financing, money laundering, ransomware, and other blockchain-enabled illicit activities. Importantly for me, this role enables me to be impactful here in Australia - working with law enforcement and partners bring illicit actors to justice.
