With the help of some remote coders, we built a software system for the fund, automating the day to day processes (whilst manually covering the fund operations that couldn't yet be automated). Valuable learning of the business / tech interface.I also had the opportunity to learn all about commodity markets and trading strategies from some very knowledgeable industry veterans. Graduate training program in marketing and advertising, for a retail bank, during a major company rebranding (Abbey National to Abbey). However, after the makeover, there was a takeover! Santander bought Abbey and shutdown the UK head office. That was the end of the training program and my potentially glittering future career in marketing and advertising! Early lessons!
