Deals Search Project - Complete rewrite of existing M&A search product using modern design paradigms, cloud technologies and mobile-first design. Added CI and CD with every check-in deploying to live. Worked both on front- and back-end with other members of the team, and also full feature stack independently. Increased quality with tests at every level of the test pyramid. Highly responsive to customer feedback with changes coming at all points of the development cycle. Optimised build pipeline saving ~10mins/build.

* Extending capabilities of Hubble (existing reporting, analytics and planning suite) to report over SAP ERP.* Making and proposing key strategic decisions.* Responsible for interactions with customer and potential customer and market research, through to story definition and backlog refinement with the development team. * Successfully brought stalled project back on track with scope cutting and implementing agile methodologies.* Developed my communication not only with stakeholders at all levels of the business, but also working with a international team (including those whose first language is not English).* Increased my knowledge of finance, accounting, research, customer relationship, leadership, delegation and self directed exploration. * Increased my ability to juggle multiple pressing needs and priorities accordingly.

* SAP Project (cont.) - Lead developer on SAP project (see above). Frequently balanced competing priorities from internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for handling live customer data. Held the technical leadership role that involved code reviews, interviewing team members and onboarding those team members, translating user requirements to technical deliverables.* TerraNova Project - Delivered significant refactoring to legacy codebase. Aided extensibility, testability and confidence to several code projects by introducing interfaces, software design patterns and increasing code standards (e.g. SOLID principles, reduced coupling). Balanced making large changes with maintaining “always releasable” goal. Added quality into the build pipeline, including large numbers of tests. Massively increased my abilities to understand large and complex systems, effectively use design patterns and add unit tests. * Yellowbox Project - Delivered extensions and fixes web frontend of Hubble product suite. Worked at all levels of the stack (Javascript/HTML front, C# server and multiple databases).* Kepler Project - Created a newer and more lean version of Hubble that is built as a web product from the ground up. Ensured good practices and robust, multiple-level testing were embedded from the start as well as modularity, multi-tenancy and scaling. Learnt much about team leadership, effective communication and organisation as I was leading an international team.* Other Hubble Projects - Added to existing financial reporting suite that sits on top of Oracle’s EBS and JDE. Responsibilities included new feature development, bug fixes, unit testing, customer calls, QA testing and build script development. Worked at all levels of the Hubble Project including core logic, UI, database query construction and execution, performance, security and persistence, as well as over many functional areas including reporting, administration, budgeting, charting and scheduling.

* Created a multi-core application for a deeply embedded system which was presented at a trade show and to customers.* Combined many experimental and beta-release tools to create one working demonstration.* Successfully gained a 1.8× increase of speed (using an 2 core embedded system) which led to a 20% reduction in power consumption by reducing the clock speed.* Gained knowledge of general concurrency and parallelism issues as well as writing for and debugging an embedded platform.
