In a new role within the business change team at Railpen, I'll be reviewing end to end business processes, identifying and addressing compliance, regulatory, operational, financial and technological risks; identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies within the team and support and mentor team members to enhance their pension knowledge. Initial areas of focus include Pensions Dashboard, TPR Single Code of Practice and GMP rectification and equalisation.

Working on the Teachers' Pension Scheme contract to implement the public sector pension reforms for 2015, I've delivered:As-Is process models and analysis of the impact of scheme changes on business and IT systems.Produced end-to-end business requirements for processing the new pension scheme, from the point of application through to the payment of pension awards. Liaised with the Department for Education pension policy team to ensure all pension administration scenarios are covered by legislation.Produced the requirements and target operating model for the new scheme goverance structure, liaising with the DfE to ensure full compliance with legislation. Developing the policies, procedures and reporting for the operation of the new pension board goverance model.Project managing the implementation of a knowledge management repository based on SharePoint to provide front and back office teams with access to policy, guidelines and training for the processing of the new and old Teachers' Pensions schemes.

Took a leading role in developing IT Strategy to meet NAAFI future requirements, working with 3rd party suppliers to create new IT model - outsourcing of hosting and system support.Assessed Business Intelligence and reporting tools, made recommendation and managed implementation of QlikView; managed, maintained and developed the reporting capability to suit changing business needs and delivered end-user training.Managed the request for proposal process for a new finance system, developing the business case and project for board approval. Project managed the IT workstream to implement Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, liaising with 3rd party and internal teams to install server architecture, develop interfaces and output file formats, along with data migration and retirement of previous system.Project managed the implementation of Oracle Hyperion Planning, working with local and offshore development teams to understand and implement business requirements.Developed business case for a replacement retail system, including point-of-sale, head office and merchandising, and electronic data interchange (EDI) modules.
