Logistics Manager for a global manufacturing company, responsible for warehousing, stock control, goods-in, despatch, packing, shipping, in/out quality audit and waste management. Managed a team of 20 staff across a 24/6 operation where I reported directly to the Head of Site.

Responsible for producing terms of reference, standard operating procedures and conducting compliance and assurance of sites and activities.Project Manager for large global exercises for the delivery of military personnel, equipment and supplies to austere locations, using military transport resources and the requisition of commercial options by road, rail, air and sea.

Responsible for the managing a team of 6 military and civilian training staff who delivered over 80 courses to 1100 students annually. Conducted staff development, delivered appraisals, monitored instruction during lessons and was responsible for the instruction of courses to senior management staff. Trained students in logistic principles, national/international legislation and regulations, supply chain management, commercial logistics, Passenger Handling, H&S, Dangerous Goods, transport operations and customer service (handling, complaints and resolution).

Managed a small but diverse team of 6 specialist logistic supervisors working globally to meet the strategic objectives of the Royal Marines. Responsible for the allocation of logistic resources to move personnel, stores and equipment to isolated locations to maintain operational effectiveness. Conducted long-term forecasting and planning of organisational activity, including the briefing of plans to company directors and executives. Responsible for commercial contracting of road, sea and air transport through a centralised agency for UK and global projects. Managed Port Services and Transport Services contracts within Norway and USA, including budgetary forecasting, invoice payments, SLA, KPI measurement and monitoring and customer feedback to contractor.

Directly managed a team of 6 civilian and 6 military staff. Responsible for the planning of freight, equipment and personnel across Europe. Wider responsibility for managing teams operating at ports and airports across Europe, providing administrative and logistical support. Worked with 3PL road transport, shipping and air transport providers as well as local and national authorities regarding legislation and regulations. Manager of the Movement Operations Centre providing logistical support to over 50 military units across Germany totalling over 25,000 personnel. Planned and directed the movement of units across supply lines to meet the MOD global operational commitment.
