As a Senior Technical Operator I contribute to the MCR and Ingest duties at the Media Hub, but also have responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the work of junior team members as well as routinely staffing the area solo. I regularly act-up as Supervisor, being accountable for the work of the team and successful provision of the service on the front line as well as making bookings and arrangements for future events.Daily duties include:Media ingest operationsOutgest and playout from the production systemOperation of PTZ cameras and media playout serversOperation of a range of Broadcast IT and media handling systemsAd hoc operation of encoding systems for Streaming content to websitesOperation of LiveU, WMT, and Teradek IP transmission toolsUse of the Core Infrastructure to Route HD & SD Video / Audio Programme circuits and Comms circuits and use of conversion and interface tools to ensure signal quality and formats as requiredIdentification and Line-up of sources, monitoring of quality of incoming and outgoing material andensuring compliance with agreed technical standardRemote operation and support of unattended studios Liaison with remote source and destination facilitiesSpace segment booking and Satellite clearance proceduresOutside broadcast circuit provision including satellite downlinks and operation of microwave linksLiaison with internal and external bookings/planning offices and using a range of IT tools to input or respond to bookings requirements and log outcomes1st Line Support of the Hub systems, identifying faults, implementing workarounds and escalation of faults & issues to Technology Support.Liaison with Newsgathering and Production, escalation of problems in a timely manner and offering advice and guidance as requiredLiaison with Media Management and Media Central teams for handover of media

In this annual volunteer role my primary responsibility is directing and vision mixing for the main stage at the Summer Madness youth festival and New Wine conference. In liaison with the team leaders, I design and build the video system to provide Image MAGnification in the host venue and deliver streaming content to breakout venues. My strong technical skill is instrumental in the setup and operation of this complex system. During each day's two mainstage sessions I direct and mix the show, cueing the volunteer team of camera and CG operators. Outside this time I work alongside the same team to provide technical support to the breakout venues and produce audio recordings of the seminar and presentation programme. I also advance prepare visual media for use during the show.

In this volunteer role I was the lead creative and managed a small team of creatives and technical operators providing audio-visual production for in-person and virtual (online) events. This consisted of operating live sound and video systems for live events or video editing, and web administration for virtual events. I liaised with senior leaders to obtain event schedule and accordingly scheduling team to fill all required positions. I built workflows and procedures for material exchange and planning of pre-production as well as final delivery. In addition to technical requirements, I championed the volunteer team in their traning and personal development.Deliverables:- 1x weekly 1 hr duration video edit streamed as-live for virtual event- Social media video and image promo content- 2-3 x promo video content- 1x audio edit for podcast and dial-in
