As the product manager for the Oval Concepts and Vera component brands, I work to develop and source a competitive line of house-brand components for OE spec and AM sales.I work directly with vendors in Taiwan and China to develop and source wheel, handlebars, stems, saddle, cranks and other bicycle components. I have travelled frequently to Asia to review samples, inspect QC processes and negotiate pricing.Throughout the model year, I research our OE and AM competitors' products, collaborate with bicycle product managers on new bicycle platform development, maintain pricing and spec files for the component lines, attend trade shows and sales meetings where I represent the brand to customers, order and evaluate product samples, and participate in warranty claims regarding my products. Having spent nearly a year and a half in this role, I have firsthand experience of the full product development lifecycle in the bicycle industry.

While at ASSA ABLOY I was a product development engineer for the Sargent, Corbin Russwin and Yale brands. I worked in new product development, as well as VA/VE events and sustaining engineering for existing products. My work on electro-mechanical mortise locks, wireless access control systems and decorative levers provided valuable experience in manufacturing, testing, industrial design and maintaining relationships with international vendors.
