Uniting is the social service, chaplaincy and advocacy agency of the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of NSW and the ACT. As a Church Engagement Leader I help strengthen collaboration between Uniting and the broader church. By building relationships with lay leaders, ministers, congregations and presbyteries, I aim to bring the Uniting Church's mission to life, taking real steps to make the world a better place.In this role I have a strong focus on social justice issues, seeking opportunities for Uniting's Advocacy team to engage with church congregations and members, amplifying their ability to stand up for the most marginalised in our society. Through this, I aim to deliver on Uniting's 10-year strategy to disrupt entrenched disadvantage.I use a variety of tools for this work, including community organising. I work closely with the Sydney Alliance, a network of civil society organisation including faith groups, cultural groups, unions and community service providers to hold our elected leaders accountable and secure real change to improve the lives of communities all across Sydney.This is a Lay Specified Ministry of Pastor role within the Uniting Church, and I am commissioned as a pastor by the Sydney Presbytery, held accountable to the church's code of conduct and ethical ministry standards.

In a unique and challenging role, I lived on-site in a residential college home to 260 undergraduate students. With oversight of pastoral care and wellbeing, I built and maintained a welcoming, inclusive and supportive community for undergraduate residents to flourish while pursuing their studies. I was responsible for holding residents accountable to the college's code of conduct ensuring they treated their fellow residents with respect.I lead a team of resident advisors/community leaders, training and equipping them with skills they needed to exercise leadership and support for their peers. This included crisis and emergency management, remaining calm under pressure. I consulted on management and strategic decisions as a member of the college's executive team, and drove cultural transformation implementing recommendations of the Broderick Report (an external review of college culture). On multiple occasions I deputised as acting Master (CEO) of the college in the Master's absence.

Under secondment to Sydney Water as a Project Management Officer I worked directly with a Project Manager in the delivery of asset upgrades on water treatment facilities. These projects ranged in value of $120,000 to $3.5million, and durations of 6 months to 2+ years. I worked on all stages of the project life cycle including business case and tender development, risk assessment, tender evaluation and contract award, project delivery, reporting, close out and post-completion review.Prior to this role, as an Undergraduate Engineer I performed site activities on a tunnelling construction project. This included supervision of works, daily reporting, procurement and quality assurance. This role required a strong focus on safety, performing Task Risk Assessments on all activities conducted.

My Undergraduate Engineer role at CMC was divided between estimating and construction. As an estimator I performed quantity take-offs, price estimates and preparation of traffic, safety, environmental, and other management plans. In my construction role I performed similar duties to my subsequent position at John Holland.

In my role as a Sales Associate at VHA I performed sales, training and customer service in a fast-paced work environment, requiring a cool head in sometimes stressful situations.
