I have helped some of your favorite brands, causes, and social enterprises fulfill their missions through smart brand marketing. My passion for technology and social change started when I was 12, and was hired by the first major commercial online service (later acquired by AOL). In college, this passion was cemented when I created my first fundraising campaign for the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Ever since, I've been working to bring good marketing practices to corporations, social enterprises, nonprofits, and foundations. At Event 360, Network for Good and Ellucian, I created new business lines, diversified revenue, built high-performing marketing and business development teams, and opened new markets in the UK & Middle East. As the 49th employee at Campus Pipeline, I was part of a team that helped define the way colleges and universities now use the web.A little earlier on, I moved from Chicago to DC to work on the communications team in the West Wing of the Clinton White House. There, I had the privilege of traveling around the country as a member of the President & First Lady's Advance team. Prior to this, I graduated from Loyola Marymount University, and studied abroad at the University of Kent. I'm a fourth-generation San Franciscan, and a dual citizen of the U.S. and U.K.I love mission-driven organizations, and two of my favorites in addition to Make-A-Wish are the Chautauqua Institution and The Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Why Chautauqua? The Chautauqua Institution is a nonprofit dedicated to the exploration of the best in human values and enrichment through a nine-week summer program that explores important social and political issues, and promotes excellence and creativity in the arts. Why Dana-Farber? The scientists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute are at the forefront of the battle against cancer and AIDS.
