When Mercedes-Benz moved, I moved with it. I worked with a small team to start Team X from scratch and bed the client in, while continuing to adapt global work for the local market and create a wide range of tactical messaging and original campaigns, including the introduction of fixed price retailing.

At Emil I worked solely on Mercedes-Benz, creating a wide range of digital and traditional communications for the brand’s passenger cars, trucks and buses. My role involved both adapting global campaigns and assets for the local market, and creating bespoke communications for the Australia/NZ markets.

As the internal copywriter at a large audiovisual software and hardware company, I translated technical information into consumer-facing communications such as social media posts, instructional video scripts, product brochures and press ads.

Working in an agile team within the creative department, I did everything from taking TVC-led campaigns from concept through completion to writing eDMs, banners and social posts. My role involved quick turnarounds and working independently, often directly liaising with clients. Most of my work was for blue-chips like IBM, Amex, KFC, Coke and Lion, but I also handled smaller clients like QV, NSW State Environment and Aqium.

I came to Lavender for a few weeks of work and wound up staying over a year, producing BTL work for American Express, Bupa and Telstra, and for Westpac and its subsidiaries St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA. Eventually I was seconded to work for Westpac in its headquarters, spearheading the rapid deployment of several suites of consumer comms.

RAPP brought me in to work on the Audi account, where I created TVCs, press, digital, direct mail, eDMs and OOH. Notably, my partner and I launched of the new A3 Sportback with a full-spectrum campaign that smashed sales expectations. I also produced a range of BTL work for Westpac, Telstra, McDonalds, VW and Gumtree.

At BWM I worked on primarily on Ateco Automotive, retailer of Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Citroën. I did a lot of press and digital work for these marques, including the Australian relaunch of the Lotus brand. I also worked on Telstra, Ingham’s Foods, NIB and Edgell.

I cut my teeth in the advertising business at The Foundry, a busy boutique agency focused on retail catalogues and consumer comms. As 1/5 of the creative department, I got to do a bit of everything, including copywriting, concepting, graphic design, finished art, and even a dash of account service. I enjoyed them all, but I fell in love with copywriting.
