Responsible for a case load averaging well over 300 clients at a given time for eight years. The case load consisted of administrative law cases for Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income and Federal District Court disability cases. This position was responsible for effective communication to guide and educate disabled adults and children through the complex legal process of administrative disability law while adhering to strict statutory deadlines, managing multiple calendars and acting as liaison between a plethora of individuals and agencies. In addition to remaining current on the comprehension of Social Security disability law, advocacy and customer service, general office equipment familiarity was required daily; ie. Microsoft Office, mail, faxes, phones, email, information system maintenance, internet research, letter-writing; and certified, confidential document exchange.

Wrote and implemented an Educational Outreach Program for the Museum of Northwest Art through the UW Museum Studies Certificate Program. The project involved working with the Mount Vernon Boys and Girls Club in creating food-related paintings for their local Food Bank. Through journaling about their diets coupled with simple drawing and painting exercises directed toward food-related themes, the kids were introduced to the elements of art and the principles of design.

Working with a team of colleagues from MSU to brand the federal grant initiative Project Safe Neighborhoods and communicate its directives to the district of North Dakota. Responsible for researching gun crime in North Dakota and implementing projects that were aimed at educating the citizens of North Dakota and creating awareness through radio, television and outdoor campaigns. Acting as a retainer for the District Attorney’s office as well as Law Enforcement agencies across the state in event coordination and graphic communication. Awarded silver medal for media kit from Bismarck-Mandan AdFed. Macintosh computers and Adobe Creative Suite Software.

Providing support to School of Law faculty implementing computer and audio/video technology in the classroom and courtroom, as well as producing video for school promotion and recruitment of prospective students. Primarily Macintosh computers and Final Cut Pro, Sony video cameras, direct to tape video board in the courtroom.
