I can point to a solid 108 hours/year in saved time for the CEO and my team, accomplished by streamlining processes and eliminating redundant meetings. An essential part of my role was systematizing the way grant writing was carried out by adding deeper-dive research on foundation trustees and officials, setting monthly goals for LOI and application production, improving the design and messaging of promotional materials, and increasing access to foundation directories. These efforts achieved a single-year increase of over $30,000 in new foundation grants. I led strategic planning for our 2022 year-end print and digital appeals, and segmented our Raiser's Edge lists and messaging to match the giving patterns of our newly developed target audience personas. I worked with board members to secure the support of influencers whom they identified as popular with our base of support, and in 2022 our efforts bore fruit with the recruitment of a prominent writer and speaker beloved by our precise donor demographic. Our annual fundraising exceeded our goal, partly as a result of a Giving Tuesday campaign across FB, TW, LI and digital appeals that raised over $24,000 - more than double the amount ever raised by Five Talents for this key event. -

It was inspiring to connect with donors through a successful Giving Tuesday and end-of-year campaign offering a full spectrum of personal warmth and high tech. We saw a 26 percent year-over-year increase in revenue from donations, and 14 percent year-over-year increase in donations plus grants. For major donors, this meant personalized videos from our Guatemala staff that thanked each supporter by name, tailored email appeals, handwritten holiday cards, handwritten lift notes in our print mailing, calls, and face-to-face visits. At the grassroots, this meant customized donate pages and segmented print and digital appeals expressing our gratitude and urgency.A high point of this role was managing a $60,000 grant through all stages of the application process to the notification of success, from drafting the text and budget to coordinating board and accountant inputs to ensure accurate financials. -
