I'm an analytical, proactive, and self-taught technician, project manager, and workflow automation architect in the IT field with over five years experience in 1st and 2nd line. Starting with a family law firm, I practically built the IT infrastructure and department from scratch, and had to grab the bull by the horns so to speak within my first few weeks when the first coronavirus lockdown occurred, and coordinated an ambitious plan to setup around 95% of the office workforce to work from home within a pressured timeline.Within the first few weeks at this firm my goals were to rebuild a woolly, almost non-existent IT department into an industry standard one that was not only efficient but complied with data protection regulations, and implement an otherwise non-existent helpdesk system, asset catalogue, knowledge base, and process manuals from scratch.The core aspects of this rebuild was migrating a whole host of third party software and services all into Microsoft 365 business suite, utilising Microsoft Server, 365, active directory, domain controller, and Azure, all while creating training programmes for the team, mostly a non-technical audience, and delivering it through a series of group and one-to-one training sessions.Having built the foundations of the department, brought all devices up-to-date with the latest OS and service software, I lead and coordinated various projects pertaining to workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate (Flow), Zapier, and other similar software. Not to mention improve the existing on-prem Access database by utilising MySQL and connecting it via API to the automation systems.Following an unfortunate liquidation of my last employer in December 2023, I am excited to bringing my value elsewhere with the deep-end experience, innovation, and efficiency skillsets and fresh ideas I have developed to date.
