Auto-Kit International is an industry leader which designs, develops, manufactures and assembles interior trim components for the automotive, locomotive and aviation industries.I joined the company as a customer services advisor before being promoted into a managerial position within the office.These were primarily customer facing roles focussing on office administration, order processing and exceptional customer service.After my time working in front of house I moved into production management and subsequently became the Operations Manager. As the operations manager I was responsible for production, logistics, customer satisfaction, quality management and project management. During this time I worked to achieve and maintain ISO:9001, ISO:14001, ISO:18001 and TS:16949. Through this I have a working knowledge of 5S, 7 Wastes, FMEA and Value stream mapping.After my time in Operations I was promoted to Key Account Manager. During this time I wasalso appointed a position on the senior management team reporting on the company directly to the board of directors. While in this role I secured and managed major contracts with leading manufacturers including Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen, Aston Martin and Nissan.I completed quote analysis forms, negotiated high value contracts and worked to establish and develop the business with new and existing customers. This role also involved a lot of project management, in particular with the engineering teams at Jaguar Land Rover and Volkswagen. This gave me a solid grasp of MS projects as well as calculating costs and time spend within a production environment.I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Auto-Kit International and would recommend them as a company to anybody seeking to progress their career or to any customers in search of an efficient and high quality supplier.
