About Jon Gerber

I've been lucky to work with great organizations and teams throughout my career. My passion lies in building high performing teams who work together for a common success. During my tenure as a leader I've led teams in Financial Services and Technology. I've worked with companies across Retail, Finance, Technology, Travel and Education. As a leader I feel that I play a pivotal role in the success and development of my direct reports and the organization more broadly. I believe strongly in employee empowerment and the encouragement of taking educated risks to find a better way. I've built many teams from the ground up who've been tasked with the success of new initiatives and I've also integrated the pieces of former teams into the larger group. The coaching and mentoring of employees is near and dear to me. I spend as much time as I can with employees on helping them to reach their professional goals. I've worked with many professionals outside of my direct sphere of managerial influence because I'm truly passionate about development and honing my skills as a coach.I've had a history of being tasked with new and exciting projects and helped to create a vision for the team that led to success. I take pride in being able to think critically in the diagnosis of issues and opportunities and recommend viable, efficient solutions.In my previous role at Yahoo! I was tasked with leading teams through quick and evolutionary changes both to our organizational structure as well as our platforms and customer offerings. My ability to understand and convey potential complexity into translatable formats has been a strength I've worked hard to develop.In addition to managing through change I've also had a long history of working with data to analyze performance.
