Technologist focused on developing tools to both simplify today's science and make tomorrow's science possible, from the wet lab to data visualization, bioinformatics, and simulation. In particular, my focus is developing methods, infrastructure, and community to enable holistic integrative computational "whole-cell" models of individual cells. At the core, this involves abstracting the building blocks of scientific investigation and knowledge to make it easier to execute these building blocks, combine them into a holistic approach to investigation and holistic understanding of biology, and deliver them through simple, yet powerful and flexibility user interfaces.I have over 15 years of experience as a world leader in whole-cell modeling. Through computational biology, I have deep experience in molecular and cell biology; data, knowledge, model, and software engineering; and user interfaces and data visualization.
