Their school programs are carefully designed to align with the national curriculum, providing tangible learning outcomes that inspire and motivate both students and teachers.Since 1997, Cafesociety has been conducting digital media workshops with young people, aiming to empower them with the skills of content creation in the digital realm. These workshops have served as a platform for participants to develop their digital literacy and creative abilities.Through the collaboration of a curated group of talented individuals from media, art, and education backgrounds, Cafesociety has facilitated digital media workshops in various locations worldwide. As a dedicated professional working in both primary and secondary schools across the Yorkshire region, my focus was to empower young people and teaching staff with the confidence to effectively utilize digital media as a catalyst for improvement, change, and progression.Through collaborative efforts with schools, I actively engaged in planning and understanding their unique requirements. My primary aim and objective were to equip schools with the necessary resources and skills to creatively embrace the use of new technology within the classroom.By providing tailored guidance and support, I enabled schools to harness the potential of digital media in enhancing teaching and learning experiences. This involved implementing innovative approaches that integrated technology seamlessly into the curriculum, promoting active student engagement and fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment.By instilling confidence and providing ongoing training and support, I empowered teachers to confidently incorporate digital media tools and techniques into their instructional practices. This not only enhanced their own professional development but also facilitated transformative learning experiences for their students.Through my work, I endeavored to create a positive and impactful change in the educational landscape by promoting digital literacy, fostering creativity, and equipping schools with the necessary skills to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving digital age.I worked with schools to plan and meet their needs. As a Digital Media Practitioner working for the Withernsea & South Holderness EAZ (Education Action Zone), my role encompassed a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at promoting digital media integration and enhancing educational experiences.One of my key accomplishments was the development of an online learning resource portal, providing staff and students with a centralised platform for accessing educational materials and resources. This portal facilitated seamless communication and collaboration, enabling more efficient and effective teaching and learning.Additionally, I took charge of designing and maintaining 12 school websites within the Withernsea & South Holderness area. Through thoughtful and engaging design, I ensured that each website reflected the unique identity and objectives of the respective schools, effectively engaging with students, parents, and the wider community.Recognising the importance of multimedia skills in the digital age, I conducted training sessions for both schools and the community, focusing on multimedia film and photography. These sessions aimed to empower individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to create and utilise digital media effectively.Furthermore, I had the opportunity to curate and direct an international film festival, showcasing a diverse range of films from around the world. This initiative aimed to foster cultural exchange and appreciation of the art of filmmaking, while providing a platform for aspiring filmmakers to showcase their work.In my role as a Digital Media Developer, I was committed to leveraging digital media technologies to enhance educational experiences, promote creativity, and foster engagement within the Withernsea & South Holderness community.

As a Film Maker, Photographer, and Educator working with Creative Contexts in the East Riding Council LEA, my focus was on engaging primary and secondary students in the East Riding of Yorkshire through film and photography.One of my notable achievements was to assist in the planning and execution of a 10-day visual arts enrichment trip to New York for 99 key stage 4 secondary school students from Yorkshire. This trip aimed to provide a unique cultural experience and exposure to the vibrant arts scene in one of the world's most iconic cities. Through visits to museums, art galleries, and cultural landmarks, students had the opportunity to expand their artistic horizons and gain inspiration for their own creative endeavors.In addition to organising this enriching trip, I worked closely with primary and secondary students, conducting film and photography workshops and projects. These activities aimed to enhance their creative skills, foster self-expression, and encourage a deeper appreciation for visual storytelling.By integrating film and photography into the curriculum, I aimed to provide students with a platform to explore their creativity, develop critical thinking skills, and effectively communicate their ideas and perspectives.Through my role as a Film Maker, Photographer, and Educator, I sought to inspire and empower students in the East Riding of Yorkshire, nurturing their passion for the visual arts and encouraging their personal and artistic growth.
