About Jon Sneyers

At Cloudinary I enjoy researching anything related to image processing and image compression. For example, I helped create Cloudinary features like q_auto, f_auto, g_auto, e_improve, e_replace_color and e_cartoonify. I am also the chair of the JPEG XL ad hoc group within the JPEG committee and project leader of the corresponding ISO/IEC 18181 standard.See also my blogposts at Cloudinary's blog: https://cloudinary.com/blog/author/jon_sneyersI am the main author of the Free Lossless Image Format (FLIF), see http://flif.infoWhile doing a PhD / Postdoc at KU Leuven, I have done research related to CHR (Constraint Handling Rules), which is a very high-level declarative logic programming language based on multi-headed, committed-choice, guarded multi-set rewrite rules. I have developed the CHRiSM system for probabilistic-logic learning. One of its applications is APOPCALEAPS, an automatic music generator.
