Responsible for the management, analysis, planning, design and testing of over 200 network servers, routers, WAP’s and switches on multiple remotely located nodes. Key Contributions:- Worked with senior network engineers and vendor partners to develop a full 802.1x and MAB solution to ensure the customer is compliant with all SOCOM security policies.- Implemented Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for proper change management to ensure there is a system in place for rotational network admins to be able to implement rapid changes and to ensure compliance for an unconventional customer.Daily Duties:- Monitored network performance to proactively avoid network issues such as outages and degradation of network services- Provided oversight, technical support, and customer service to IT customers, unit personnel, and other network technicians and system administrators by quickly diagnosing and implementing solutions to resolve current issues- Provided training on installing and upgrading network equipment to junior network administrators that are on rotational support. Configuration includes implementation of the port and service in the correct Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN).
