I have been litigating complex commercial cases at Day Pitney for more than 30 years, primarily IP cases concerning patents, trade secrets, trademarks, or copyrights. I also handle contract cases, especially those involving licensing or other IP issues. A registered patent attorney, I counsel clients on IP matters, provide opinions, and draft licenses. In addition to IP cases, I have handled cases involving insurance coverage, securities fraud, antitrust, real estate, construction, product liability, warranty, torts, and corporate acquisitions, among others, including class actions. One of my most recent jury trials arose out of a corporate acquisition. In addition to trial work, I serve as a mediator. I have been appointed by my firm’s leadership to serve on the firm’s Conflict, Ethics & Loss Prevention, Technology, and Hiring committees, and am a member of the Day Pitney Alliance leadership group.An active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, I have served in its House of Delegates, as Co-Chair of its Federal Practice Section, on the Executive Committee of its IP Section, and as a member of its Federal Judiciary and Federal Judiciary Study Committees. I was appointed by the Chief Judge of the District of Connecticut to serve on the Court’s Local Civil Rules Advisory Committee, and also served on its ad hoc patent rules committee. I write frequently on legal matters, particularly in the patent area, and have spoken on many occasions, including multiple occasions as a panel member at the Joint Patent Practice CLE program.For many years, I have served on the Connecticut Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League, having previously chaired its Civil Rights Committee and served on its Executive Committee. I also served for six years as the inaugural Chair and President of Friends of the Trumbull High School Choirs, Inc.
