Developed robust backup and disaster recovery procedures with geographical separation between secure data centres in the UK. Engineered a secure and resilient SQL Server database instances with failover log shipping and robust backup and restore procedures. Later moved to clustered virtualisation to further improve availability and provide additional network segregation.During this time I was also responsible for the maintenance and performance tuning of the SQL Server databases and working with developers to individually tune queries to reduce response times.
