Initially recruited as Sales Director, progressing to Commercial Director, before joining the board in 2014. Accountable for all aspects of growth - sales, business development, account management and marketing strategy & communication across a wide variety of current and prospective clients. rascal systems has evolved into a leading retail technology and data solution provider. Our purpose is to enable retail efficiency. rascal cleans and processes complex data assets, standardising and streamlining processes, delivering robust controls and governance, to ensure that our retail partners are efficient, effective and profitable. Some notable successes include:• Expanded breadth and depth of offering - in 2010 the rascal app was present on c. 3,500 devices in UK retail. In 2023 this number has risen to over 31,500 devices• Contract management - secured several high value, multi-year contract renewals with all tier 1 & 2 retail partners• Worked in partnership with Camelot to design and develop a tried, tested, proven lottery scratch card management system. rascal systems holds the exclusive license, currently providing the solution to several major retailers• Commercial lead on all potential diversification and growth initiatives - sourcing partners and managing partnerships to ensure that they have purpose and run smoothly

After successfully gaining experience as a National Account Manager I was promoted internally to become responsible for managing £65 million of retail sales contracts, focusing on developing strong relationships to ensure all commercial opportunities were realised. Some particular elements of work that I enjoyed included:• Increased full year commercial margin delivery from £14.2m to £14.7m• Appointed to a cross-functional project responsible for shaping and delivering a new cheese brand – Davidstow, successfully implementing and rolling it out nationwide.

Gained an opportunity to broaden my knowledge by operating as National Account Manager for various parts of the Dairycrest Group corporation which included having overall responsibility for profit and loss within large divisions with a focus on developing new business opportunities.
