I joined Chewy in June 2021 to help lead growth strategy for PetMD.com, a Chewy property.

I co-founded Editing for Authors in 2010 as a premier editorial services company. Our services include book editing, website design, author marketing, book design, cover design, and a full suite of publishing services including printing and distribution. Since our founding, we've worked with high-profile physicians, entertainment and media figures, and NFL players to help bring their stories to life. We're proud to say that many of our authors have gone on to land publishing contracts and win awards.

I've been a writer and editor for many outlets, both digital and print, and I'm a multi-published author with Simon & Schuster. I've covered a variety of subjects for national publications, including b2b marketing, home & garden, politics and news, medicine, diet and nutrition, the pet trade, and many others. My writing has appeared in media outlets including Fine Gardening, Tribune Company newspapers (Sun-Sentinel, Chicago Tribune, Newsday), the former About.com (a New York Times Company property), iVillage (NBC Universal), eDiets, Better Homes & Gardens publications, and dozens of leading trade magazines. In book publishing, I've written or edited for publishers including Callisto, Oxford University Press, Hay House, Health Communications, Routledge, Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins, and others. Finally, as a ghostwriter, I've written multiple award-winning books that have gone on to achieve sales of 100,000+ copies.

I was responsible for managing 7 content libraries of industry-leading patient education, representing 4,000+ pieces of clinically reviewed content in multiple formats (print, video, online). I worked in a close team of writers, editors, producers, and clinical advisors to develop education that was distributed to a customer base of 2,500 hospitals nationwide both via CCTV and through EHR integration. I also helped develop an online patient-facing patient education platform that could be integrated into hospitals' clinical workflow. Finally, I supported sales as a content expert during the sales cycle and represented the company at trade shows.

As content director for Bundoo.com, I managed the overall content operation of this rapidly growing pediatric website, including developing lifecycle editorial products that created sticky relationships with our community of new parents and working with sponsors build a sponsored content operation based on themed topic centers. In my day-to-day role, I managed editors, expert reviewers and writers to produce tight, timely content that spoke to the needs of our audience and helped the site build its membership base. I also worked closely with the development teams to design the site architecture and overall UX.

I ran the Houseplants web vertical for About.com. My responsibilities include digital content creation and content strategy and overall management of the website, including writing the weekly newsletter, blogging, hiring and editing writers, forum management, and SEO.

I wrote horticulture and home and garden feature stories for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Orlando Tribune. My stories focused on gardening and landscaping in the subtropics. They were frequently picked up by other Tribune Company properties including the Chicago Tribune, Newsday, and LA Times.
