I have had the good fortune to be able to combine my passions for art and technology over my entire career. I ran a small award-winning technology-focused ad agency, been in computer marketing, corporate development, design, visual effects, film and have even been an animation director and producer. I founded AthenaOnline, an award-winning e-learning company that developed and released the first enterprise 'microlearning' platform. Athena was also one of the first cloud-based, SaaS companies on the market. Athena's programs have been featured in publications such as Wired and Fortune as well as human factors textbooks. I love to create things that excite people's curiosity and passion. Here are a few highlights of something of the things I have worked on. • Co-developed and launched the first micro-learning platform• Co-developed an online streaming media platform that launched 5 years before YouTube• Developed some of the first ‘edutainment’ products for global enterprise clients• Directed and produced award-winning interactive and animated productions • Directed and negotiated with top entertainment and animation industry talent and executives• Developed some of the first enterprise 'gamified' and mobile learning products • Produced over 3,000 live and animated videos• Developed and presented business plans for both VC financing and film productions• Written or co-written scripts for animation and live productionsWith my background in production, compositing, and VFX I was elected to the board of the Visual Effects Society Bay Area Chapter where I played an active role for two years, working with an amazing team of VFX professionals to plan events. Shortly after I started Athena Studios, Northern California's only stop-motion animation studio. Under Athena Studios, I have had the good fortune to write, direct and/or produced award-winning animation projects for Frito-Lay, Adobe, Bosch, Hoka Shoes, Dignity Health, and independent films.

He developed marketing material and public relations campaigns as well as producing and directing shoots for the over 2,700 video lessons in Athena’s leadership library. Jon also produced 3 multi-award-winning CD-ROM products that won almost every industry award on their release. In 1999 Jon and his work-associate Michael Kovac developed the first enterprise microlearning platform. The system, MyQuickCoach, was one of the first cloud-based, SaaS (software as a service) companies.
