In this position I was trained in maintaining classified and unclassified Department of Defense computer networks. This took me to Incirlik Air Base in Turkey as well as Aviano Air Base in Italy. I started out on the help desk and then transitioned to network infrastructure. In my later position we upgrade the network to ATM, which was at the time the latest and greatest. We also worked with the phone switch in installing the network to buildings that didn't have cable run to it. I was also on-call once a month and responded to various problems that concerned network connectivity for general officers to power outages that would effect all of the network equipment.
