Data Acquisition Systems Group Supervisor
Current- Lead a team of Instrumentation Engineers, Data Analyst/Software Engineers, Data System Techniciansand System Analysts in planning, preparing, acquiring and reviewing data for a variety of unique wind tunnels tests- Lead project team to review and finalize technical requirements and oversee the design and installationof a replacement NFAC DAS under the TRMC CTEIP program- Interface with all test customers at every stage of test program from initial test inquiry meeting through test execution to final data transmittal to ensure test objectives are being met- Assure data systems and instrumentation are calibrated and documented according to established AirForce instructions for ground based testing- Oversee data analysis and validation activities to ensure test data is accurate, correct and all test reporting milestones are met- Organize and lead periodic internal status briefings to government and contractor management and aid in financial planning with periodic labor forecasts for test and facility projects- Provide team with clear work assignments including expectations for quality and timeliness, track staff progress and address issues as necessary to ensure the NFAC test mission is being met- Oversee subcontracts to maintain and upgrade current NFAC DAS hardware/software- Developed custom distributed pressure sensing instrumentation suite- Perform basic administrative duties, such as approving purchase requests, time cards, and vacation requests- Establish performance goals, hold periodic progress checks and prepare annual performance reviews for team- Oversee/facilitate technical and administrative training- Address team concerns and help troubleshoot problems- Mentor NFAC Instrumentation Engineers and ensure they are provided with necessary tools and training to fulfill their responsibilities- Audit test installation and check out progress to ensure safety standards and best practices are followed
