Founded a global aviation company involved with business and commercial aircraft acquisitions and sales, operational management, aircraft charter, maintenance and consultation. Represented all major aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream Aerospace, Bombardier, Dassault Falconjet, British Aerospace/Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna, Learjet and Embraer. Had complete P&L responsibility and managed the company from start up. Prior to its sale, the company had almost $100MM in annual revenue. The company managed and operated 45 business and commercial aircraft (total asset value in excess of $1.5BB), 235 employees, 5 operating locations - including one internationally. The Air Group pioneered corporate aviation in Japan and was the first aviation management company to base and operate corporate aviation in Japan. As an exit strategy, sold the company to a equity fund headed by AIG and HSBC in December 2007. Follow-on executive management responsibilities were completed in September 2010.
