The idea of creating a vast ecosystem of data where information trusted and passed freely only works when the data is reliable. Accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity, are all critical dimensions to data quality and they must be the focus of any data quality initiatives. and I was happy to work on these projects.

Working as a Technical Data Steward has been an interesting experience, in that it has allowed me to flex different muscles as well as see our company's data from a different perspective. It was my job to coordinate with engineers and business experts to ensure we were making the right decisions on how best to generate, store, secure, catalog, and disseminate our technical assets. This required not only understanding the business use-case of the these assets, but understanding the best practices and limits of the technology we were using.
