This near shore strategy folded into the wider organisations objective to grow the business for acquisition which we achieved in late 2017. Achievements::- Identifying Skopje as an early adoption market for near shore software delivery and thus setting up a new development delivery company - Software4Insurance (S4i) - and all related functions and processes.:- Building 8 .net and Java agile scrum teams supported by Product Owners and QA engineers using both automation and manual testing tools.:- Building culture and branding that enabled the team to grow to a headcount of 48 in just 18 months in a relatively small though what became a challenging market where salaries were increasing at 25% per year.:- I can honestly say this was the best role I have ever undertaken made possible by an ecceptionally talented and fun team in Skopje.Additionally to building S4i for TransactorGSL, I was also asked to take the COO role for a near shore development center in Krakow that required rebuilding and process improvement. The objective of this role was purely to 'settle the ship' for 15 months, reduce staff turnover, improve development processes and productivity whilst the wider aquisition process was started.
