Formally trained as an Analytical Chemist, Spectroscopist and Chemometrician, with an interest in almost anything and everything involving the application of maths and the sciences. I am competent and enjoyed laboratory based work and wet chemistry with a good understanding of how most scientific instruments work and how to interpret their data for me the best part of working with them was always dismantling them and troubleshooting issues when they arose. I am particularly passionate about the imaging aspects of scientific instrumentation.More recently I am involved in software and hardware testing/design in the Process Analytical Technology and Chemometrics fields, which is an area of Industry primed for major adoption globally. With the advent of modern technological advances and connectivity, there is a need for maintaining the integrity and quality of data and the models we use to automate our world. When I have free time I enjoy all aspects of cars and motorbikes and anything to do with nature including cycling, fishing and playing the drums.
