FastGas Energy Services was an energy business research project to build a feasible business model that could provide increased possibilities to utilize natural gas outside of the range of the national gas pipe network. The business concept was developed with an independent team also participating LUTES Summer Launchpad entrepreneur program. The business idea was developed from CNG refill solutions to organizing an easy and feasible solution for industrial customers to change their energy usage from traditional fuels to liquefied natural gas (LNG). The project comprised a collection of necessary industry information, generating a competitive business model and practicing how to marketing that. These processes included specific market research, meetings with the main natural gas businesses operating in Finland and joining business innovation competitions which offered training and coaching for business idea development as well as practical skills like pitching the business idea to investors.

My responsibilities were with the moisture determination and storage of received biofuel. For moisture determination and orders management I used the company’s SAP system. Next to that, I used a wheel loader for tasks concerning the transfer of fuels. My responsibilities also included maintenance in the case of breakdown and in the operations of the annual shutdown.

As part of the customer service of Motonet Oy, my main responsibility was the sale of spare parts. In more detail, this work included providing service to customers, in the store and over the phone. Next to this, I took care of the warehouse and store replenishment, as well as general organization. The workload sometimes provided a challenge, but I always prioritized customer satisfaction.
