As the Business Unit Director at Mehiläinen, I lead the strategy, operations, and performance of our primary healthcare and physician staffing services. Mehiläinen is a fast growing, international healthcare company with origins in Finland dating all the way back to 1909. Mehiläinen has grown ~20 % p.a. from 2014 with mainly organic growth.Mehiläinen is a clear market leader in public healthcare in terms of quality, reputation, scope of services, access to care, customer satisfaction, scale and profitability. With an annual turnover of over 120 million euros and over 2000 employees, my team is responsible for the public primary healthcare services for ca 310 000 Finns in 50+ individual units.I have a solid track record of leading profitable growth as the p&l responsible head of our primary healthcare and physician staffing services. In five years, my business line has grown 2,5x (>20 % p.a.) with improving EBITDA margins through mainly organic growth, but also through successful and well-integrated bolt-on acquisitions. Due to our asset light operating model, we have been able report outstanding return on operating capital employed. Our team is leading the digital transformation of public healthcare in Finland.Before joining Mehiläinen I spent six years in the innest circles of Finnish and European politics. I served as the Head of Cabinet of Prime Minister Alexander Stubb and Finance Minister (and Finland's current Prime Minister) Petteri Orpo and as the Economic Policy Adviser for Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen. In addition to a broad network I have a profound understanding of the regulatory and legislative environment in Finland and in Europe.I hold a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from Aalto University.
