Joonho Gil received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer science from KAIST in 2003. Untill 2013, he was with radiopulse Inc., Korea, where he had developed CMOS communication ICs for IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee applications. He led many successful mass productions for ZigBee/RF4CE SoCs and ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 transceivers. In May 2013, he joined TLi, Seongnam, Korea, where he was involved in developing various sensor products for mobile applications. From Nov. 2014 to Jan. 2018, he worked in Sensonia Inc. which is spin-off company from TLi, where he had developed accelerometer, heart-rate sensor, and fingerprint sensor. Now he worked in Nemesis Co.Ltd., Seongnam, Korea, as a co-founder where he was involved in developing various biomedical sensor interface circuits and systems.He has more than 25 international conference and journal publications in the areas of CMOS RF/microwave ICs and passive device modeling. His research interests include sensor interface circuits, biomedical & biometric systems, CMOS RF/microwave integrated circuits for wireless communication, and on-chip passive device modeling.
