Within my first year with BASF, I identified a method to improve work efficiency and was given the opportunity to lead a team of 3 members to execute a continuous efficiency improvement project. During that period, we performed a feasiblity study and launched an action plan thereafter. My day to day involves but not limited to collecting information and gathering evidence of use for Malaysia and foreign patent prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, coordinate patent prosecution request from overseas patent agent, sometimes I travel to meet current and potential client as well. I gained their trust when answering patent question from business clients and providing suggestions to better protect their assets. Due to the time sensitive and deadline driven nature of this work, I handle multiple cases at one time. I often work on preparing patent search report and drafting patent specification. I gained valuable experience on various topics ranging from chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, telecommunications, electrical engineering, bio-science to daily application products. I also handle patent prosecution matters by responding to office action issued by the patent office.
