For the last decade, after penning the educational journeys of my students, the question meant to actualize remains: how can I extract these stories--epiphanic realization of the self and calling to matter in this world--to more students who don't have access to individualized mentorship? On the business level, I formulate partnerships, spearhead the Graduate & Career program, and catalyze student acquisition. On the writing level, I'm collecting more stories so that hopefully, we can create a dynamic educational landscape, giving opportunities to students that truly deserve them.

What originally was supposed to be a gap year teaching AP English and Psychology in a city unbeknownst to most turned into a glaring need for international education counseling. Being thrust as the de facto counselor for the international department, I gave crash seminars on Common Application 101, Personal Statement guidance, strategic recommendation letter writing, and urged for more funding to extracurriculars and student-run independent projects: all necessary for a competitive college admissions portfolio. Under my direction, and thanks to all the teachers and students who trusted my guidance, the first year cohort saw its first Ivy League acceptance (Cornell) in the province's entire history, as well as first acceptances to NYU, Boston College, UVA, Emory, and UNC. The following cohort saw its first acceptances from the province to Columbia, Duke, Chicago, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Wake Forest. I did not know at the time that 'education consulting' was an actual job, and the experience of trying to standardize how to send students abroad brought assurance to my vocational calling as an educator. It's thrilling to see where my students were and where they are at now. I see one scholar at Princeton redefining what 'censorship' means in the context of global politics; I see another working as a Software Engineer for Amazon; I see another building inclusive working space in collaboration with the IDP program at UPenn; I see an entertainment manager who wants to create real art as opposed to sensationalist clicks. I'm forever grateful for this 'accident' and since then, I've treated every encounter as a chance for mutual creation and evolution.
