So what do you do Joop? That's a question I need to answer many times. My normal answer is "From goat cheese, to nuclear weapons" Just to give some color to the scope we handle. The weapons is off course a joke. In basis it is quite simple, we handle projects based on the demand of our clients. There is a large disconnection between African companies and companies from abroad. For a Dutch, company, it is, unfortunately, way easier to get contact, find the correct products and/ or processes, simply we understand both sides. Also we make sure that our suppliers will perform, and make sure deliveries are up to spec, in time, and against the correct price. We sometimes are the contractor, handling the full project, sometimes we are the broker, and in most case full projectmanager of (often) complex logistic challenges,in basic the process is the same. We organise those parts of the project were we add value.If it's simple, anyone can do it Trust is the foundation of our business model. We'll make sure, all parties involved deliver to their promises. CAB van der Vinne has developed into a procurement, contracting, logistic and consulting company for multiple African companies and companies that have interest to become success-full in AfricaWe have carefully built up our reputation based on performance and action. The View of Zanzibar In the last 25 years we have traveled all over the globe for business, from Russia to USA, from Sweden to Uganda, Dubai to Nigeria. All those trips we have enjoyed and lodged in a numerous variety of Hotels, B&B’s but also houseboats and airport terminals. All those experiences came together in our own developed small apartment hotel on paradise island Zanzibar (Tanzania) We landed here last year for a short holiday, and decided to stay. Pingwe Beach in Zanzibar to us, is the most beautiful place on earth. With the year around nice weather, phenomenal kind people, beautiful food we have reached paradise, and wanted to share that with guests. The View of Zanzibar has 6 apartments (50 m2) , for max. 2 persons, and 1 140 m2 penthouse, with 2 1/2 bedroom. All apartments have their own equipped kitchen, veranda/ terrace, bedroom and bathroom. Built with passion, and with eye for detail. The furniture is very special, and all hand made from an old Dhow boat. We have invested in high speed (fiber) internet speed. From our own experience crucial. Many of us, will need time during the day, to handle their businesses, mails, online meetings, and you’ll enjoy this in the office with the best view in the world. Wake up early, and witness a unique sunrise, your day can not begin better. We will make you feel at home.

After more than a decade working in Nigeria, handling a large variety of projects, we are pleased to announce our latest co-operation with our Dutch logistic partners.We have set up a dedicated shipping line from and to Nigeria, and we are in the position too effective and efficient way, handle your (project) cargo. The shortage in shipping capacity, has a catastrophic financial and logistic effect on the capacity towards West-African countries, Nigeria in particular.In a situation where it is possible to find or book a vessel, the average costs have skyrocketed (3x times or more) Heavylifts, (Semi) submersibles, (Break) bulk shipowners have a long list of clients to choose from, and in many cases, Nigeria is on the bottom of the list, due to security challenges, congested ports, and draft restrictions.Together with our shipping partners, we have developed multiple cost-effective solutions for our Nigerian (West-African) clients, and we are successfully using and combining all available known resources.Our most recent project was the shipment of a 330 ton heavy tugboat from the UAE to Lagos. The tug was loaded in RAK ports, with the use of a 650 ton crawler crane, on a standard dry cargo vessel. After a safe voyage the tug boat was lifted by the Mammoet MTC-15, a one of a kind, 600 ton terminal crane, located at Ladol Freezone yard in Apapa. A great voyage. I've set up the export department for the group. A family owned € 100 mil plus company. Too big for the Netherlands only.First country we set up camp was Ireland. Very successfull and we would have stayed there if it was not for the clash in 2008. Next to Ireland we secured projects in Sweden, Norway, Russia, Czechoslovakia, Gilbratar, Saudi, Ghana and off course Nigeria. We decided to stay there
