About Joost Verwilghen

I am working in international development and program management. Initially this was with CBOs and NGOs at grass roots level, and for the last twenty years I have been involved in various development projects funded by a range of international development agencies, such as FCDO, DFAT, Sida, EC and the Dutch Government in the capacity of project director, team leader, manager and technical consultant. I am currently Team Leader on the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE), a program funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My involvement with CBOs and NGOs working in development continues through my work with charities in the Netherlands and through Partin, the association for Private Development Initiatives (PDI) in the Netherlands. Before my current role on the CFYE I was in leadership and advisor positions on a number of FCDO funded programmes. Through my work with the Palladium Group I have been in different roles and based in locations where I was responsible for a portfolio of projects as the main point of contact for contractual and project performance issues.Specialties: Project management and operations, project design and proposal development, fund management, rural development, small-holder production, SME development, capacity building, organisational development, Reality Check Approach (RCA)
